                  XP95 100dB(A) Loop-Powered Sounders
are designed for use in open areas and can be connected to any
                  XP95
                  or Discovery
system. They have a guaranteed output of 100dB(A) and a
                  current consumption of just 4.5mA.
 • sounders can by synchronised
 • group address facility
 • line powered requiring no external power supply
 • wall mounted

                  The new
Intelligent Base Sounder has been designed to replace the
existing 85dB(A) loop powered sounders and it builds on the
strengths of the current sounders but offers in addition:

Synchronisation of continuous and pulse tones ensuring
alert tones are not mistaken for evacuate tones.

Multiple addresss allocation meaning that more than one
sounder can be allocated to a single address. All sounders at
that address will respond to commands from the panel (slave
sounders) but only one sounder will be able to reply (master
sounder). This is known as the 'master/slave' concept. For
more information about master/slave concept, please click

The Intelligent Base sounder:• uses the established XP95 protocol
 • is loop powered
 • is designed for use with XP95
                  and Discovery
                  detectors
 • has a choice of two output levels: 85dB(A) or 92dB(A)
 • allows more sounders to be connected to the loop using the
                  master/slave concept
 • can be supplied with a cap for use as a stand alone sounder
                  (when set as a master)

                  The
Ancillary Base Sounder is a local-area
sounder designed for indoor use. Provided the control panel
has the required software, it can be connected to
                  XP95 or
                  Discovery
systems. The sounder incorporates a base into which an XP95 or
Discovery detector is fitted. It has a very low current draw
so that up to 126 sounders may be connected to a loop. However,
it does not have a synchronisation feature or pulsed tone.
 The Ancillary Base sounder:
 • has a guaranteed sound output of 85dB(A) at 1 metre
 • has a current consumption of only 3mA
 • is loop powered
 • responds to signals from the associated detector - it does
not have an address of its own
 • has adjustable volume control so that its output can be
adjusted steplessly from 70dB(A) to 85dB(A).

                  The
XPlorer Base Sounder is a local area sounder designed for
indoor use. It incorporates an XPlorer base into which an
XPlorer detector is plugged. The sounder is loop powered and
is switched via the remote output of the detector so the
sounder does not take up an address. It is only compatible
                  with
                  XPlorer detectors and control
                  panels.
                  • Guaranteed
sound output of 85dB(A) at 1 metre• Current consumption of 3mA at 85dB(A)
 • Uninterrupted alternating tone
 • Up to 63 may be connected to a loop
 • Adjustable volume control means sounder output can be
adjusted steplessly from 70dB(A) to   85dB(A)
