Ionisation Smoke Detector
Functionally the same as the standard XP95 ionisation smoke
detector but designed to meet the requirements of BASEEFA E EX
ia IIC T5.
Optical Smoke Detector
Functionally identical to the standard XP95 optical smoke
detector but designed to meet the requirements of BASEEFA E EX
ia IIC T5.
Heat Detector
Functionally the same as the standard XP95 heat detector but
designed to meet the requirements of BASEEFA E EX ia IIC T5.
Base
The base for the intrinsically safe range is not identical to
that for the standard range. This ensures that standard
detectors cannot inadvertently be fitted to an intrinsically
safe system.
Manual Call Point
Two types of intrinsically safe manual call points are
available: one in a plastic housing the other in a die-cast
aluminium housing. Both are functionally identical to the
standard XP95 manual call point.
Protocol Translator
A protocol translator is needed in order to use
intrinsically safe control and indicating equipment with
standard systems. This device 'translates' voltage levels from
any loop driver operating within the XP95 limits to levels
compatible with IS equipment.
Approved Safety Barriers
To avoid earth faults on control and indicating equipment, a
